Camping

I went camping for the first time and I loved it! There was plenty of dirt, sand, and bugs to play with - my kind of good time. Mommy invited some friends who have a camper and we took our tent. The mosquitoes were pretty bad, so I spent some time sitting in the screened in vestibule of the tent.

We went to the apple orchard while we were camping. I picked some apples and got to pet a horse.

My Mom took a turn carrying me in the backpack. We saw turkey and deer on the trail. This deer stopped to pose. If she knew what my Daddy and Grandpa do at deer camp - she would be running!

Tickled

I love to be tickled - and if you hold me upside down, you can see all my teeth.

Swimming!!

While I was at Shell Knob - I got to go real swimming for the first time. I was not afraid of the water at all, and splashed around with my Grandpa.

The Cooper Reunion

So when do we get to start stamping license plates?
I went to the annual Cooper reunion this weekend and had a lot of fun.

When we arrived at Shell Knob - there was a sign that said 'Welcome Cooper Family.' I thought it would be funny to add some letters and pose for a picture.

Here I am with Daddy. He just got done packing me down to the lake and back. He looks tired?

Shots still hurt...

Here I am showing off my battle wounds. I am pretty happy after the ordeal - but I am ready to be done with these shots! It was also time to get my picture taken with my frog. Remember when we were the same size? Now I would just rather carry him around...

Walking

I have been cruising along the couch and walking behind my truck for a little while. Last week I wanted to take steps, but just was not quite sure I could do it. Over the weekend I took three steps when I thought nobody was paying attention. On Monday I took five steps, and on Tuesday I was up to ten. I am a little more wobbly in this video than usual - I have not been cooperating with Mommy to catch this new trick...

Football!!

It is almost football season. I love the color red, so when the Chiefs are on TV I am mesmerized. I also like to watch the Missouri Tigers - mostly because Daddy yells and jumps up and down, how funny.

4th of July

The 4th of July was very fun this year. I went to Old Glory Days in Clinton, MO. I watched a parade, ate a funnel cake, played in the little tykes tent, and swam in my new pool. I kept trying to drink water from the fountain on my pool.

Ten Months

I am ten months old now and in to everything. I can stand up on my own and am crawling everywhere. One day I climbed up onto the dishwasher drawer!

Here I am with my frog. He sure seemed much bigger when I was first born.

First Hair Cut

I decided I was looking a little shaggy and went for a haircut last weekend. I was a good boy and held really still! I do not think this was the traditional photo op moment that my parents were hoping for - but I got to sit in a yellow Hummer!

My daycare teacher commented that I looked like a big boy the next day. I sure am growing up fast!

Effective Parenting...

I was banging on the computer tonight and for some reason my mommy gave me a swat on my bottom. Instead of stopping - I let out the biggest giggle you have ever heard. So what did we do? Daddy got out the camera and mommy encouraged me to do what I just got a swat for - How weird! She gave me a couple more swats and I laughed again just to humor them, but I did not laugh nearly as loud as the first time.

Vacation

OK, so I know I promised an update on my vacation several weeks ago - but between Grandma and Grandpa Biggerstaff and my parents...I had 1,647 pictures to wade through in order to write this post. There are lots of great pictures that I didn't post...but these remind me of what a great time I had.

Here is a picture of me and Grandma in Jackson Hole, WY.

After staying in Jackson, we drove north to Grand Teton National Park. We saw lots of elk, a moose, and a bear. We stayed at the Grand Teton Lodge and did some hiking. This was the view from our deck that night. The picture I posted earlier of my dad and I hiking was from Teton too. My mommy even took a turn wearing the backpack...

My grandpa was excited to show me the mountains for the first time.
We spent a couple of days relaxing and fishing in Idaho, and then it was off to Yellowstone.

I was really excited to see all of the Buffalo and the waterfalls on the first day. Here are 'the boys' checking out Fire Hole Falls.

I posed for a 'Dances With Wolves Moment' in the Hayden Valley. Don't you think I look a little like Kevin Costner?

I was amazed at how much snow was still on the ground - and fell on us while we were in Yellowstone.

I loved looking at all the geothermal features in the park - but boy did they stink - peeyeww!

We walked around several waterfalls and checked out the 'Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.' I am looking forward to seeing the real Grand Canyon someday.

I haven't been able to meet Ken and Debbie Hill yet, they are friends of Grandma and Grandpa. They let me stay at their condo in Big Sky - and I had a great time. I loved looking out the window and rocking in a chair that was just my size. Grandpa and I 'Chillaxed' on the couch.

We went back to Yellowstone on another day to see Mammoth hot springs and to watch wolves in the Lamar Valley. We got to see a wolf cub and watch one of the Druid pack wolves playing with a coyote.

Here are some more thermal features, we hiked around this day and had a picnic out of the back of the truck.

My dad tried to talk mom into buying this 'fix-R-upper' but the dining room was just not big enough. Too bad...

We made a stop at Mount Rushmore and visited the Badlands on the way home. I had a great time - but I would just as soon not ride in my car seat again for a long time.
